Hydrofluoric Acid (HF)
Obtained by dissolving HF (hydrogen fluoride) in water. Used for carving glass, cleaning residual sand on castings, controlling fermentation, electropolishing, and cleaning corroded semiconductor silicon wafers (mixed with HNO3 acid). Due to the relatively strong binding ability between hydrogen and fluorine atoms, hydrofluoric acid cannot be fully ionized in water.
