sulphuric acid
XLW
Sulfuric Acid is a Colourless viscous corrosive oily liquid. A molecule of Sulfuric Acid, H2SO4, consists of two atoms of hydrogen, one atom of Sulphur and four atoms of oxygen. Sulfuric Acid is the strong acid produced by dissolving Sulphur trioxide in water.
Sulfuric acid is used in the metallurgical industry and metal processing, especially in the production process of non-ferrous metals. For example, when refining copper, zinc, cadmium, and nickel using the electrolysis method, sulfuric acid is required for the electrolyte. The refining of certain precious metals also requires sulfuric acid to dissolve and remove impurities from other metals. Before cold rolling, cold drawing, and stamping in the steel industry, it is necessary to remove the iron oxide on the surface of the steel with sulfuric acid. In rolling thin plates, cold drawn seamless steel pipes, and other steel materials with high quality requirements, they must be washed with sulfuric acid every time they are rolled. In addition, welded steel pipes, thin iron sheets, iron wires, etc. must be pickled with sulfuric acid before being galvanized. In certain metal machining processes, such as nickel plating, chromium plating, and other metal parts, sulfuric acid is also used to clean the surface rust. In the black metallurgical enterprise sector, the steel that needs to be pickled generally accounts for about 5% to 6% of the total steel production, and the pickling of each ton of steel consumes about 98% sulfuric acid 30-50kg.

Sulfuric acid or products that contain concentrated sulfuric acid should be stored in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Sulfuric acid should not be stored indoors in large quantities, to prevent the possible accumulation of vapors. Product containers should be regularly examined by professional MSDS experts for signs of damage or leaks.
