Hydrogen peroxide has both oxidizing and reducing properties, and the products of its oxidation, reduction, or decomposition are water and/or oxygen, making it a clean oxidation-reduction agent. Hydrogen peroxide can be used as oxidant, bleach, disinfectant, dechlorinating agent, rocket fuel, peroxide, foam plastics, etc. Hydrogen peroxide is also used in the production of inorganic and organic peroxides such as sodium perborate and peracetic acid.
Hydrogen peroxide is the most common inorganic peroxide. Due to its oxidising properties, it is used in bleach formulations, disinfection applications and also in the manufacture of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
The product is used as a bleaching agent in the production of paper pulp; as a reagent for chemical synthesis; in the detoxification and purification of water and effluent and for copper etching of printed circuit boards and cleaning semiconductors.

Hydrogen peroxide (H ₂ O ₂) is commonly known as hydrogen peroxide. Pure hydrogen peroxide is a light blue viscous liquid with a melting point of -1 ℃ and a boiling point of 150.2 ℃. Its density at 0 ℃ is 1.465g/cm ³. H ₂ O ₂ is a polar molecule that can be mixed with water in any ratio, commonly in 3% and 35% aqueous solutions.
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat.
